I was over at Guru Disc Golf today and fondled these Avatars. They have the same overmold "points" on the back as the other Innova overmolds. It has a bead and the rim is convex. vAtlas?

As others have said, I'm surprised Innova still messes around with overmolds. I honestly haven't a thing about a Nova since PmcB went to Discraft and I forgot all about the Atlas existing until reading this thread. Maybe the third times a charm.

That was supposed to be less a shot at their toolmakers and more a shot at their general concept of quality.

Agree that they should either do overmolds and do them well or just forget it. Innova unloads the Atlas and Nova on Academy shelves here for the newbs to pair with their new tie-dyed Boss and likely makes them a bunch of cash doing so.

Also, they just unloaded a couple thousand Novas as part of a promotion with the Flying Saucer pubs as part of Disc Golf Day. I got one as a gift then remembered my form is too sh*tty to throw a Nova.

I'd rather they were throwing Novas and Atlases than Grooves.

Use that Nova to improve your form, unless you've got a Comet, which is better for that purpose IMO.

Looks like a new overmold mid from Innova. 5/4/0/2. Interestingly this doesn't appear to be mechanically bonded, and they're using colored rims instead of just black. Could be mistaken for an Axiom disc. I'll wait until their available in my local brick and mortar shop before I decide on these.

Whoops. Didn't see there were already two threads for this thing.

Has anybody thrown one yet?

It's basically an Innova overmold Lion? That should be a hot seller
