They are THE standard for both backhand and forehand hyzer shots, shots needing skip, etc. They're not for everyone, but if one has the form and power to throw them, and they're useful for the course one is playing on, it's hard to think of a better disc for those types of shots.

And yes, as Jolt says, Nate Sexton throws them, and throws them very well.

Well, for a lot of rec players a speed 9 is about all we can handle, and players are wising up to throwing an OS speed 9 disc instead of a 12 that they don’t have the arm for in the meathook driver slot.

I think a lot of discs are popular simply because they are popular. Everyone throws a Firebird you should too.

I find it interesting with the Ko..er Zeus and Destroyer up there Outlaw and Scorpius aren't even in the mix anywhere.

Infinite has many molds but Millennium isn't. Maybe because I'm in Cali I see a lot of Legacy around and nothing made the list.
meanwhile
with a grand total of 2 discs, really only 1 for the first 6 months of the year there is Mint Discs.

Looks like:

30 distance driver molds
32 fairway driver molds
8 midrange molds
30 putter molds

The Buzzz is #2 on the list, so it is significant. But the rest of the midrange category...

I've been told by sellers of discs that the midrange category is the least popular in terms of sales. It's understandable, too: what used to be a true middle-range disc is now at the slower end, and with 'fast putters'/approach discs gaining in popularity and many choosing to just gap up from there to slower fairway drivers, and with longer courses, the mid just isn't 'sexy', nor in people's wheelhouses. Or they'll have eight Destroyers, multiple fairway drivers, several putters... and only one (1) mid.

How many mids do people really go thru? With all the premium plastic options available for mids nowadays, its not really that surprising. I never really lost mids all that often and it usually took a year or more to break a Z Wasp into a point where I thought I needed a fresh one.

I bet 75% of those buying Destroyers probably have no business throwing them...
