Also the live is all choppy and freezing up, but it may just be my device/connection

EDIT: Just heard Teri say it's the 2 starting holes that have the bad signal - something about power lines

via text he told me it was a collision (he wasn't involved) that shut down traffic for a long time. All of the cars were stuck in place until it cleared. I'm assuming it was a pretty bad one, seems like he was sitting there for awhile.

McBeth with his first par of the day, leaving him -10 through 10 holes and -20 for the tournament and three throws up on second place.

I heard he's washed up.

I'm sorry, I asked this before, but there was no response. The article said he was "forced" to withdraw. Was he so late that he missed several holes? Did he never arrive at all? What "forces" you to DNF? Could he have taken the penalty and kept playing?

He could have according to the rules. Beyond that, I don't have any more real information.

Speculating: it doesn't take many hole scores of par plus 4 (which is probably about 5 more than Simon would be shooting for) before he would be out of contention. It's not good for your game to play when there is nothing on the line.
