Default Roc replacement

I'm looking for a replacement for my dx roc. I really like the bead/depth of the disc and the grippy base plastic. I'd like to be able to cycle the new disc and have an overstable version as well.

I was going to get another dx and a kc pro, but I'd rather support another company instead. I'm not looking to argue about it, just what you know from your experience with the roc and other discs. Thanks.

RDG Gila in fossil plastic.
They're flat and fast.

Switch over to a Z Wasp. Feels similar (but better imo) to a Roc, and holds it's stability a lot longer. Start cycling them and you'll never look back. I also have a couple Jawbreaker Wasps for flippier shots.

There's no real replacement for baseline Rocs IMO; gonna be some differences in feel and/or flight.

From my experience, Legacy Ghost is close, Westside Bard is another that I like but they don't feel the same as a Roc. If I didn't throw Rocs, I'd probably throw Bards.

I've tried other mids and mid setups but I like the cycle of DX Rocs with a Champ Rancho the best. Basically in the Philo school of Rocs.

Quick replies. The only one I had any idea about mentioned so far was the ghost. I heard it was a pretty similar mold. I'll have to look into that and the bard, wasp, and the Gila. Thanks for the suggestions.

One that I saw might be similar is the prodigy mx3. Any experience?

If you can live without the bead grab a Buzzz and a Buzzz OS.

2nd vote for the wasp. I'm going to just assume it's available in base plastic without looking. How are they for cycling?

It's not unless you can find some jawbreakers somewhere. Just get a few Z Wasps and start beating them in. Great disc and they feel similar to a roc. The jawbreakers are great but they're special runs.

Yeah the Jawbreakers aren't super easy to find. Z Wasps start out quite stable, so buy a couple and start beating them in. They will stay in the sweet spot for a VERY long time.
