The large side pockets just don't comfortably hold a heavy fleece jacket, otherwise it would be the perfect bag.

JT: if you like the pack, you might try the layering I use. A down "sweater" and down vest are highly compressible, and both fit in one side pocket (I use the other side for an umbrella). I also put a rain jacket in one of the pontoons. With extra towels underneath three putters in the top, and snacks & stuff in the other pontoon, I can still carry 21 discs easily.

Just an alternative.
