Thrasher would be good first distance driver. It's the first disc I hit 300 with. I was throwing 275-285 at the time and immediately was able to hit 300ish. Results may vary. No other disc has instantly given me more distance.

You might also look at the Mystere or Tern if you like what the Thrasher does. Similar flights.

Agreed, but make sure it's a Star Mystere and not a Shimmer Star Mystere .

That shimmer star is weird stuff. I'm not a huge fan either. The only 2 discs I have in that plastic I found in lakes. I agree regular star is better.

For the Thrasher you might look at big Z. All the discs I've thrown in that plastic I really liked.

Best bet would be a Ledgestone Cryztal Z. For a regular production disc, go to your local disc golf shop and look for a Z with a high parting line. Good luck.

Got my 166g cryztal sparkle thrasher in earlier this week. I've played 4 rounds with it and used it off the tee on every hole 300'+. Don't think I'm going to bag it. It's definitely too much disc for me right now. I just don't have the power/control to throw it consistently. My average throw with it doesn't go that much farther than my fairway drivers and it's very hard to control. However I did park a 360' hole for a birdie for the first time ever with a really good rip so that was fun.

Try a big Z Thrasher. Much mellower. Tons of glide. Similar to a Mystere.

Those cryztal discs are always beef.

It's honestly a lot less beefy than I expected. Shows a good amount of turn on a hard 350-375' throw unless there is a tailwind. The weird thing is if I try to hyzer it it will either hold the hyzer or flip to turnover. Can't for the life of me manage to get it to flip to flat.

Well, maybe try an ESP Surge then. Same flight, but the Surge is less likely to turn over. I get better distance with the Thrasher, but the Surge can be thrown harder with less wildness.
