what does CFR mean and how can you tell it from other discs

That or Champion Fund Raiser. How can you tell? They usually have the a tourney stamp on them.

Candy Fundraiser. They will also have some type of tourney stamp on them and normally disc that aren't in regular production. They are used too raise money for some tournaments.

I have a CFR Wraith, somewhere, and a CFR TeeRex-X. I think a starfire as will but not 100%.

You tend to only see plastics that the disc doesn't usually come in for CFR's, like a glow plastic if the disc is made in champion already, or champ if it's usually only a dx/pro disc, stuff like that. Also the tourney stamps are a dead give away.

candy is one of those terms left over from when Innova was first developing the plastic. their first releases were called candy plastic. a lil more grippy and stable imo. 9but then again the discs from then were different molds then their current counterparts <i.e. beast, valk, etc>)
i suspect they end up calling it champion because at the same time they had the revered CE plastic experiments, which later runs of started resembling the candy plastic idea more and more. i think they decided to blend the concepts, candy plastic called champion. but i could have my timelines a lil off, its been many years of making clouds since then.
