One of the DX I have is bottom stamped, pretty flat, and flies like a dream. Flat top may be the route I go.

I’m going to play around with a plethora of Rocs in KC and DX for the next few weeks to see what feels best. I also have an older pop-top Star Roc that I’ll be toying with just so I have something with a longer lasting stability.

You’ll probably find the Star pop top to be a nice overstable compliment to a fresh KC. It should be packin a little more beef than a fresh KC or DX. I bag three KC’s and Champ Rancho to top off the OS end of the spectrum.

That’s what I was hoping for. I don’t want to bag another mid mold if I can avoid it and found a pop-top Rancho at the local shop this morning. My putters and mids are finally starting to feel cohesive and not foreign to one another.

This is correct. (Adding a beat DX Ontario for additional glide on turnovers is also recommended.)

Are Ontario Rocs more on the stable-to understands side of the Roc spectrum?

Yes. I had a few, but I found Comets to be more my liking.

Make sure you keep in mind that no roc is a gator when it comes to stability. Some people might have some super freak ones out there but I have never found a roc that can take the place of a gator.

I'm certainly not looking for a super OS mid. I bagged a Drone for a while and rarely used it. I find a super OS putter far more useful. I'm using it more as an insurance policy so I always have a roc that will finish right (LHBH) as all the others age.

And to make your mids a little more cohesive, you could ‘flat-top’ the star roc to go with the flat rocs. I’ve had good success with doing it and it doesn’t effect the overstability.
Or find an 05 or 06 USDGC champ. Flat and beefy, just awesome.

Can anyone tell me a little bit about this Little Wing Stevie Roc? Like when they were ran and value? Looks and flies like an R3 to me but is penned R.
