Default Overstable Fairway Drivers

Hey guys,

I throw mostly FH shots and love massively OS disc for those throws. I use an Ape/XCal to drive and can get those both over 400 maxing around 450 and a Firebird I can throw 375 or so, maybe a bit over in the right conditions.

I'm looking for a fairway driver or even a long OS mid in the 6-7 speed range that I could use for shorter distance FH shots. 200-300ft and can handle torque if I OAT it a bit.

I've used a Banshee but it's not quite what I'm looking for(great disc for other things though).

I've read into it and it seems like the XXX, Viper, Whippet, Trident type disc might be the right area to look.

What would you recommend for that slot and why?

Trident is one of my favorite discs. Goes straight until it doesn't. Then it turns and runs. Fun, fun, discs to throw.

Whippet.

XXX is probably a little faster than what you're looking for. Trident is okay, but probably not as overstable as you would like. I also find that the slanted rim can cause my forehand release to be very inconsistent.

I don't know anything about the Viper.

With that kind of power you might want to try a Drone.

I want to be able to snap it hard and not get flippy, but not go super far. Just need more accuracy than I have BH.

Yup. If you flip that bad boy over, you've got more OAT's than General Mills.
