Default Thoughts on reducing your Disc Inventory

Well, guys/gals what's next. Now that you have finally put together a great bag and are willing to part with extra's what is a sound strategy.

I currently sell stuff on ebay and here on Dgcr. Here is what I'm finding out. Some notes if you will:

-Collector stuff sells on ebay. It is work though you got to list and relist.

-Selling here has been a total crapshoot

It seems that I'm putting way to much work into selling stuff that is nearly brand new, field tested. Not trying to get rich just running out of room...

Your thoughts..

Thanks...

I have probably 50-60 extra discs that I don't use and probably never will. I don't want to go through the hassle of trying to sell them on ebay etc. I often carry a few with me and if I have anyone that I'm playing with that would like to have one and would use it, I just give it to them, or in some cases work out a trade. All of my discs have been bought within the last 5 years or so and have been used so there is no collector value to them.

Good idea..I need to give more..

Streets I'm okay with an extra 50, but I got like 200 discs extra... I went total crazy on field testing when I put together my bag (the consequences of leaving the game for nearly ten years)...

Facebook is a great place to sell unless you're one of those against having a Facebook account.

I had a similar issue ten years ago and just started paying attention to what everyone was throwing.

If a local was throwing something I had I’d work a sale/trade.

Word got around and I got rid of unneeded non-collectible discs fast.

I have a small rack for my spares, and when it's full, the surplus goes to the local shop for trade-in credit. I ruthlessly control my extra disc inventory.

I tried selling off my stuff on here. Didn't really want to deal with eBay or FB. The new/collectibles I donated as CTPs, the rest I sold to PIAS. $3 a disc (or whatever they gave me) is worth more than the nothing I was going to get with them sitting in my basement.

Well I got rid of discs over the years by giving them to players that use such discs Like my First Run Soft X Putt'r to somebody who uses such a disc or an old G9i Putter that I gave to a person who if he does not want it he can sell the disc, even an XL I did not want as the disc was clear with a tournament stamp was given to somebody who used the disc. I have a few discs that I kept old worn out discs just for the memories and a few that have tournaments I was a as well one somebody else gave to me an uncle (Uncle lives in Western New York) who got it after he played a round with Jim Palmreri, an old 2001 Can Am Tournament Disc never thrown but was from his Canandaigua Amateur event that was called the Can Am as the PDGA Name. I did not collect a bunch of discs because if the disc was something I have tried over the years and did not like, I gave it away to somebody who uses the disc mold.
