Default Charlotte / Augusta Trip

Will be in Charlotte from 9/12 - 9/18 with a side trip to Augusta to hit the IDGC. Plan on playing the following courses:

Hornet's Nest - both layouts
Renaissance - both layouts
Nevin
Elon - Long
IDGC - all three courses
Winthrop
Hippodrome
Earlewood Park - Columbia, SC

Anythig I'm missing? Anyone willing to show me around Hornet's Nest or Renny? I hear they are a little tough to figure out the first time. Thanks.

You will definitely want a guide around Hornets and Renny (and probably nevin) and the charlotte disc golf forum is a good place to post to ask for assistance. That sounds like an awesome trip and I'm jealous. I played a new course a week ago in charlotte called Eastway that was pretty fun (some short holes some long open holes). The park is brand new and 10 minutes from nevin. Not sure I'd miss any of the courses on your list to play it though.

Holla when it gets closer to when you get here, I should be around.

Also, I would recommend not trying to play all three IDGC courses in one day. Take your time, enjoy yourself.

I would suggest to add Olmstead in Augusta for a really good course that is of totally different character than any of the others.

My one disappointment from my recent roadtrip: I didn't play any of the courses in Augusta. I wish I would have. I did, however, find an awesome brewpub in Aiken, SC of all places.

Thanks for the tip on Olmstead. I will try to hit that as well. Time may be a little tight on my Augusta side trip though.
