Default Newbie needs Throwing Help

Hi,

I am a newbie only played two rounds so far, enjoy playing so bought some discs, not really had chance to practice much yet due to the poor weather but so far only able to throw my mid range discs about 120 feet.

I have studied lots of videos but finding it harder as I am left handed and most of the videos are for right handed players.

Can anyone recommend any good videos that could help me improve my backhand technique because its obvious I am missing something when I can only throw the disc 120 feet.

Thanks in advance,

John.

View said videos in vlc or another player that lets you mirror the video. Then just translate left for right and vice versa.

Just remember that as a left handed thrower, your discs will spin the opposite direction and therefore fade the opposite direction of a right handed player.

There are a lot of good tips in the Technique and Strategy forum as well as the Form Analysis Forum. As you have only played a couple rounds, you're just starting to find your groove. It's hard to pinpoint your problems until you can articulate them a tad more (or better yet with a video).
A common problem that folks have is explained by Sidewinder22 as "hugging yourself"
This video of his helped me a ton because I think about it before throwing:
