Default Fish's 2020 Bag

2020 Bag

Welcome to my humble 2020 Bag Thread/Log

I'm starting off 2020 as I ended 2019 with a Garublador style of bag building. I'm hoping to become more familiar/versatile with some core molds and then expand the bag slowly. My distance has improved slightly from the beginning of 2019 but still firmly in the noodle arm range.

Putters 180'- 200'
Mids 200'-240'
Fairways 230' - 260'

Current Bag set up:
Putters
175g McPro Aviar F2 - putting
175g Nexus Firefly - driving/approach

Mid Range
180g DX Roc -slightly beat

Fairway
172g DX Gazelle - slightly beat
or
175g DX Cheetah

175g DX Firebird - really enjoying getting to know this mold, much more versatile than I ever thought, I do "need" to get one in a premium plastic as this one is starting to develop some turn

Solid bag. I'm a noodle-arm like you, so I would make one suggestion to go ahead and add another fairway driver in the speed 7-9 class. Leopard/3, Sidewinder, etc. my personal recommendation is the Infinite Discs Sphinx. Give it a try, and you can always set it aside and take it back up later if you're not ready for it immediately.

Thanks! I have thrown the Leopard and Sidewinder a fair bit, I like both molds but I'm trying to stay away from understable molds currently, I was hyzerflipping everything towards the end of last year. I have gotten away from throwing flat and smooth and more inconsistency has been the result (I wasn't sure it was possible to be more inconsistent . The first disc I would add back in that slot would be my DX Teebird.

In that case, look at more stable discs, if you have the armspeed (and it sounds like you do) and don't want to hyzerflip. There's a ton of them. Yes, the DX Teebird you mentioned would be good, though DX beats in relatively quickly. Star Valkyries can be pretty stable. Other ideas are the Viking, the TL, the DGA Pipeline. I'm really liking the Infinite Discs Centurion, and it might fit you, as well. Anyhoo, point is that it sounds like you're ready to add a bit more speed to your disc lineup in 2020...

The weather turned nice for a few days and I was able to get 27 holes in yesterday. It was an inconsistent mix of throws and putts but not terrible for not having played in almost a month.

Current Bag set up:
Putters
175g McPro Aviar F2 - putting
175g Nexus Firefly - driving/approach

Mid Range
180g DX Roc -slightly beat

Fairway
172g DX Gazelle - slightly beat
175g DX Cheetah

168g Star Firebird - upgraded from the DX

Tip should you lose the McPro Avair 3 or mess it up really bad, the Touring Pro Aviar 3 is the exact same plastic and they make it each season for the touring Pros that wanted the McPro after Paul McBeth left Innova for Discraft. Also proceeds of the Touring Pro Aviar go to fund The Touring pros, all of them each getting a little bit of the money of the players that get a special Touring Pro disc for themselves. Also a KC Pro Aviar 3 is avalible on the Innova Disc Golf Pro shop in the limited section if you can't find the Touring Pro Aviar. https://proshop.innovadiscs.com/kc-pro-aviar3.html
