Should be. It is in some danger from potential new environmental regulations on cattle and streams since the Democrats now rule the state. (I miss gridlock already.) I doubt those issues will have sorted themselves out by then however so it should be playable all this Spring.

If you look under my DGCR profile you can find the course info page for it, labelled "extinct ". Any other info would have to come from Gresham parks dept. and/or the designer.
As far as what I heard, the neighbors/dogwalkers/other park users didn't want the risk of conflict with discs/outsiders, and the course (which was installed without public input) was pulled.
Lastly, it was not a 4.0 course --- 3.0 at best.

That does not sound good... I'm sure the last thing you want to do is run fences all over your farm.

We have the cattle fenced off of about half the streams at this point. I suspect that what we gain in lack of creekbed erosion we lose in terms of gigantic mudholes around waterers in the winter. My belief is it is inevitable that farmers in Virginia are forced to fence livestock off streams. A number of states require it already.

I understand...just gets a lot more complicated adding a disc golf course into the equation.

It's actually not complicated at all. Fencing that particular creek will end the disc golf course, simple as that.

Well, I sure hope it doesn't happen. Everyone I know who has played Hawk Hollow, calls it a national treasure. Would hate to see it on the extinct list.

Here's a situation I somewhat do not understand. The original Buhlow course, https://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=5403, was transformed into two separate courses using the existing 18 holes. Those 18 are still there, even original 12 that doesn't make a part of either of the new courses. If I am going to go play one round, I play the "extinct" course, because it's the best of the three layouts.
