Put the teepad 50ft to the left and behind a tree and now that shot is taken away.
It is a design issue. And we dont have the money or landscape to create sick discgolf courses. My suggestion is a quick fix to a glaring problem. The best showcase is when lizotte can just throw a hyzer bomb over all the trees and just dont care about the intended route. I wouldnt say hes a cheater but we are going to se more of that abuse because of lack of rules.

"THAT GUY CAN RUN FASTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE! MAKE HIM WEAR LEAD WEIGHTS!".

Seriously?

Can we landfill this thread already?

That's why we have different style courses. My favorite to play, and to watch, are woods courses.

Glaring problem? I don't think it's a glaring problem that a few courses on tour are too "boring" to watch. Don't like the Memorial, don't watch it. Want "sick" disc golf courses? Watch Milo McIver. Watch Idlewild. Watch Maple Hill. Watch Iron Hill. Watch WR Jackson. Those courses make everyone throw all the shots without need for rules tricks.

Didn't this actually happen in a tournament Yeti TD'd? I believe they banned overhands off the tee for the entire tournament because "it would make the course too easy."

I like there being different ways to attack a hole, but the holes with clearly optimal, high percentage lines, are better at testing players repertoire and create scoring separation. Hitting tough gaps, making corners, or finding the safe landing zones when the rest of the card struggles allows players to pull away or catch up. That leads to great moments.

I'd like this to become a PDGA rule, but no one's gonna agree. It's not just from a spectator POV, its also from a safety POV.
