I got the tongue in cheek nature of the post from the beginning. I know that you took some grief over the thread, but it's been fun (generally speaking, anyway). I don't think that is should die, now. It's a DGCR, albeit young, classic.

I had forgotten that Sir MacBeth had posted on this.

BTW, I was just given a sweet PMB Z-Zone! Can't wait to throw it.

He apparently likes these first run Lunas. His putting was only okay until Waco. Now the last two tournaments he’s turned the McBeast putting mode back on. When watching coverage I now expect him to make almost everything 50’ and in. He’s automatic right now.

Two tournaments in a row isn’t a long stretch, but he hasn’t looked this confident in years.
its like the buzz is better than a roc or something

Paul is playing the Tennssee State Championship this year. This is his first time here, so I was giving Chris Dickerson a 70/30 chance of beating Paul, as these are simi-local courses for Chris.
After watching TDTM, I am thinking 50/50 odds now. Paul's woods game has greatly improved.

I don’t really follow or watch many pro tournaments just what I pickup in the odd thread I see here, but what really got me was the number of folks that immediately started saying he wouldn’t be able to throw a buzz because he’s a “torque monkey” and needs the super overstable stuff.
Yeah he uses it but damn i always find it funny when I read arm chair quarterbacks and keyboard warrior chiming in on the “weaknesses” of the true great ones and super stars in whatever sport.
They’re effing frisbees at the end of the day and there are tons of them on the market that overlap in feel and flight. How this switch to discrsft had anyone actually thinking he would tank is pretty damn funny.

Paul's woods game has always been amazing. He excels at hitting lines and speed and angle control, he just pairs it with top3 controlled distance so we never talk about it.

I feel like a lot of Pauls confidence is from the fact he actually feels supported by his sponsor now.

Or a seasoned Roc for that matter. Those will flip, too. But yeah, Nova has got to be one of the more form sensitive discs this side of a comet.

Clearly Paul is good at using whatever tools his sponsor provides. Innova doesn’t really have a buzzz equivalent. Turns out McBeth’s preferred mod doesn’t have to have a bead. He throws what works well. Imagine that.
