I don't know. It wasn't on the large list of discs that went OOP at start of 17, however.

Because sometimes it is in production this year, and next year its not. They have dropped ESP in a lot of molds, what's to say they won't do it to the Sting too?

Considerably slower than any SW I've ever thrown.

Y'all are making me want to try the Archer more and more. My wallet is saying words that cannot be printed in this family environment.

Traded a bunch of stuff today and picked up a 170g Big Z with some dome. Considerably flippier than the flat 176g Z I've been bagging for a few rounds. You guys were correct, it wants to turn and keep turning. I'm liking the more stable Z better at this point.

I have an exact Big Z copy of my current Sting, but I might need to get a flatter Z/ESP one. Or just wait till I have a broken in Undertaker...

Well, got my 172gr Big-Z Sting today and took it out to the football field. Comparing it to a new DX Leopard is a pretty accurate description.

Put it up against a;
thrashed DX Gazelle
3 year old G* Leopard
beat M-Polaris-LS
new Opto Maul

The Gazelle, Leopard and Polaris are still more stable than the new Sting!

The Maul and the Sting are very similar in flight, but the Maul will go a little further (like 10-15ft), but is less controllable.
I like that it's deeper than both the Leopard and the Maul. It's also pretty easy to lock on a hyzer-flip straight shot.

I had no problem hyzer flipping forehands out to 270ft. It worked really well once I figured it out.

Tried throwing rollers with it, but the grass was too wet and long, but it was easy to get down on the right angle, so I will try again latter in the week when they mow the field.

It's a finesse disc, but it doesn't seem too finicky. Put too much on it and it's going to turn over, not enough and it will fade back, but the window between those extremes seems pretty tight. Again, less finicky than the Maul. I like it.

Gonna put it in the bag for a while and see how it works out. So that will leave me with an Eagle-X, TL and a Sting for fairways. We'll see how it goes.
