Default Prodigy MX-3

New MX3 revealed, and compared with the M3:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPXg9wFXZLM

edit: and a description from Prodigy's site

Quote:
The Prodigy Disc MX-3 is an overstable, beaded midrange that is engineered for utility and high-level performance, meeting the demands of professionals while providing benefit to varying classes of players.

The MX-3 is designed to be highly resistant to torque, ideal for players who throw with force and need to avoid turnover. Headwinds are no match for the MX-3, with an overstable flight that still offers an impressive amount of glide, especially when thrown on anhyzer and flex lines. Its beaded rim provides a comfortable grip, smooth release, and consistent stability.

Team Prodigy member Kevin Jones thinks “the MX-3 is going to be a staple in Prodigy’s midrange lineup. Its dependability will be something to rely on even in the wind. It’s an ideal midrange for all player types.”

The MX-3 is a trailblazer, defining the path for more MX Series discs to come. The MX-3 will be available in both 400 & 350G Plastic upon release. Expand your midrange game with the Prodigy MX-3, available July 20th 2019 via shop.prodigydisc.com and authorized retailers.

Thanks for the legwork aredoubles! I came here to post a new thread for this and you had a great write up in the regular M3 thread.

To me it kind of looks like a Roc clone. Which would be pretty nice in 350G plastic. I'm amazed they took this long to put out beaded midranges.

They are very deep. I see a lot of overlap between my mx-3's and my m2's in flight. It does have a touch more glide than the m2.

Fun speculation: it's just to differentiate between the regular M3 and the new disc. Another reason might be that they're trolling Innova for the RocX3, the AviarX3, etc.

Prodigy Fukkked up so hard on their naming system, I used to love it P, M, F, D for distances and 1-4 for stability, made so much sense, but now all these V2's and stability is all over and now X's in the middle of stuff makes no sense. whatever

I'm gonna go out on a lomb and say that the X is for a beaded rim, kinda like how Innova's X molds are concave winged, while L molds are flat winged.

That's because that naming convention only works if discs are released in order of stability. As soon as you make one that falls in the middle of two current discs, you have nothing to call it that makes any sense.
