Default The RDG Sobek: Utility Midrange

Hey guys!
With RDG continuing to grow and expand, I'm always trying to develop new ways to expand our lineup. I keep close tabs on the smaller companies on the market and I reach out to them whenever possible to develop working relationships. One of these relationships is developing into one of my favorite discs I've thrown.

The RDG Sobek is very overstable utility midrange.
It features mold pieces from the Essential Discs Honey but with added stability from a different combo. of molding elements. Big thanks to Larry Leonardi for allowing me to tinker with his baby. The Honey in itself is a fantastic mold.

The end result is an overstable disc that is capable of full power flex shots, sharp spike hyzers & dangerous forehand rollers. This is the swiss army knife mold of the RDG lineup. This is one mold that on the surface it appears that it can do one thing... fade.
But in actuality I am finding dozens of shots that only the Sobek is capable of in my bag.

I hope to start releasing protos in the very near future with a full run of Fossil Sobek's on the horizon. I've been seeing discussion about cycling DX Gators and it has me even more excited for the folks that want a utility disc that they can wear into different slots.

Mmmmm smaller diameter drone/gator/demon love-child?
It has a vicious LSS when powered up. It is the unique flight that seems to gain LSS the harder you throw it.

One other thing that I LOVE about the Sobek is that is SKIPS like a MOFO.
You can get some driver-esque skips with throw low and hard.
The Scale is a hit and stick machine while I can use the Sobek to cover my skippy OS slot.

Nice. I have been thinking about adding a Gator back to the bag.

Look forward to giving these a try.
