Somehow I missed that note about Rocs, my bad. Squall is a good choice then, it's really the only "wider rim" midrange I can think of. The rim on a Truth might be a little wider than a Roc.

The Tangent powers down really well and goes super straight.

I carry 4 Roc3s. 2 Star / 2 McPro and haven't had a wind I didn't have the right mid for yet. Sometimes I even throw in a Champ as well. Thicker rim than the original Roc too.

In terms of a totally neutral disc that fits your request, try a Proxy.

Then you would love a Comet. Think a Crave that can be thrown as soft as you want. When I am bagging down(nutsack), it is Atom, Envy, Comet, Crave, Volt, Inertia.

I've been tempted to pick up a glow Comet for night rounds. I'm just so used to the consistency and feel of MVP.

I do love small bag rounds. Today I played with 3 Envies, a Tangent and 2 Craves. Didn't throw the Tangent once though and shot a pretty solid round other than some poor putts that were all on me.

Discraft is the only other company I think has MVP's consistency...but not their feel. But then again, the Comet feels like no other discs I know if

Beat DX Gazelle. Slightly wider rim for you and great at comet/roc shots as it is just a longer roc. The ones I have thrown that are beat just right are good for shorter holes dead straight when thrown lower like you need. Not sure if they would work for what you want fresh though.
