Just how gummy are the Valkyrie? I love the way the older stuff feels and flies so might need to get some.

the XGs are very gummy. Hence being called "Xtra Gummy". They don't disappoint. Probably ESP FLX-ish in terms of gummy, but not as "soft" more "springy" if that makes sense?

Makes sense to me. I have an older Champ xout Valkyrie that flies awesome but I can't find something to match it. It's sort of gummy, has a decently soft feel but does not feel like the super gummy old stuff.

Might have to grab one.

Anyone snag any of these in the mid to high 160s they'd be willing to part with?

Well, I got two. One is blue with the red sparkle stamp. The other is yellow with the flag stamp. Love the way they feel and will be perfect winter discs. Yellow will likely never be thrown. Looks just too awesome.

I haven't gotten any under 170 yet. I got my first three at 175, and I have thrown 2 into the bag, kicking out my old school champ valks. These things are really stable and hold a good hyzer or anhyzer line. I just ordered two more and requested the lightest weight possible which they list is 170. I am thinking I could get that to hyzer flip more reliably than these max weights. The DX stamp discs rock too. I am going to keep one for the wall, one for trading, and the other I am carrying in my 5 disc bag (I play with this on small courses and break in discs for backups).

But overall, I am super impressed with this new XG. I smacked a curb with mine and it skidded a good ten feet and had a very minor rash. I also got a couple trees with it and could see no damage. Very durable, and like I said before, overall more stable. The flight plate is totally flat. These discs are noticeably shorter in height than my other flat top champ valks. The JLs on the other hand have a bit of dome. They feel almost identical to the shape of the newest max weight DX that are domey. Feels good and glides a little more than the XG but a tiny bit more LSS.

i ordered a couple of the xg valks to use this winter and were disappointed to see the rims were very slanted. plastic feels great though, and they came out nice and flat. i'm off the next 2 days and hope to get some throws in with them.

I was surprised at how flat they were as well. I'll be throwing it Friday so hopefully it flies just like my money xout.
