Default Puddle top? Discraft misprint?

Yesterday i bought a discraft misprint stalker. Its kindof a puddle top. Does this effect the flight alot. Should i take the disc back and pay a few extra dollars for one thats not a misprint? What are your opinions

"Misprint" should only have cosmetic flaws that don't affect flight.
Physical flaws, such as the puddle top, will affect the flight considerably. But you may find that this disc performs a certain flight you need/want in your bag.

Otherwise I would return it.

Stalkers are pretty flat already. How puddle topped is it? I've found them to be pretty consistent in flight. The only difference has been in plastics.

It's no biggie, it will fly about the same. definitely won't cost you any strokes.

The real question... Do you want it un-puddled? Because I have a technique for doing just that...

Step 1: fill sink with hot water, sub-boiling is ideal.
Step 2: place disc in sink.

For many discs, this is enough to un-warp or un-puddle a flightplate. The heat loosens the plastic polymers up, it will often bounce back to its original shape. If it is still puddled...

Step 3: place "still warm from sink" disc top-down on a flat surface.
Step 4: acquire a saucepan smaller than the inside rim diameter.
Step 5: center the pan on the flightplate and fill the pan with heavy things. I use 5 lb plate weights. 8 of them, to be precise.
Step 6: wait.
Step 7: remove weights, inspect disc. It it is flat to your liking, put it in the freezer for an hour, so it can cure and retain its new shape.

Try it, flat discs > puddles. All day erry'day.
