Default Tattoo ink?

I apologize if this question has been posed. New to the forum. A friend of mine has about 30 colors of Old tattoo ink that's past prime for tattoo purposes. He was asking me if it would work for disc dying. I searched here and found no threads on it so I figured I would ask what everyone thinks? I would think it would take, but might fade quickly. Thoughts?

I don't know what the chemical makeup of tattoo ink is, but why not try it? Worst case is it doesn't work.

I'd be kind of surprised if it worked, but yeah - try it and let us know.

Yeah, sat over night and washed right off. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
