At 6'9" I find my elbow to be lower than many players but my pull is across my chest, I think the elbow might be a form flaw but it helped me get the nose down when I was first starting.

I think a lot of people find that a slight low to high pull helps get the nose down a bit. It's exaggerated in some "Swedish style" throwers, but just a couple of inches can make a difference. A high to low pull tends to push the nose up.

I'm 6'1", for low line shots where I need it to be super low to the ground. I just bend both of my knees on my last step, it only makes it like 3-6'' lower, but when you have to dodge low hanging branches it's the easiest for me. I generally just pull straight across my body.
