Default Gold line durability

I got a gold line halo maybe a month ago and it quickly became my favorite max distance driver. I drive RHFH. when thrown flat at full power it would start turning and hold it forever but it wouldn't drift too far. Then it would have a nice foward fade.

After a half dozen hard tree hits I can't get this flight anymore. When thrown flat it never comes back. If I try to add a little hyzer it flips up flat for a second then starts to fade. I can't get that in between line that I loved.

The top of the disc also has some stress bubbles now. Is this common with gold line. I'm thinking of just getting another one.

Personally I have found that the durability of the Gold Line discs I have tried to be less then impressive.

You got pics of these "stress bubbles"? I'm not sure what you mean by that.

That's the reason I mainly throw Opto, it's near bulletproof.

I will post a pic after work. I might try opto. Hopefully it will be similar enough because the gold line flight was perfect when brand new.

That's the reason I stopped buying GL, TP, Fuzion. I like the way that they feel in the hand more than their opaque counterparts but they just beat in and past their sweet spots too fast.

I'm still skeptical that a "half dozen" tree hits really changed your disc that much. GL is not DX - it should take more than that to break it in.

I couldn't get it to show up on the camera with my disc but this is my girlfriend's with the same thing on a gold line disc. This was definitely not there when these discs were new.

I can't say for certain that my disc has changed dramatically. I will need more time with it but I can't seem to get the same lines out of it and there is a noticeable cosmetic difference unlike I've seen with any other plastic. Only thing I can think to describe it is stress/stretch marks from hard collisions at high speed and the disc flexing.
