Description Institute of American Indian Arts Disc Golf Course Review Video - Santa Fe, New Mexico

Hey there disc golf friends, and thank you for hitting that play button! Today we are super excited to bring you a course in Santa Fe, New Mexico--the private Par 61 at the Institute of American Indian Arts! While this is a membership-based course that charges a nominal day fee, it is accessible to everybody.

I was honored to be hired to film this beautiful course--mountain vistas, quiet serenity, and rolling hills surround you! It was established in 2015 and designed by David McCormack alongside Ryan Flahive, who manages the course.

For the most part, IAIA is an open course that looks straight forward--but that is just off the tee. Disc placement is everything, and each basket is guarded by dense, sticky Juniper trees that vary in height. You must learn where and where not to land your drives in order to give yourself a clean look at the basket on your approaches as well as when putting. In the high desert, there are no water hazards, but there are plenty of other disc eating obstacles to avoid! The wind is always a factor and at 7,000 feet in elevation all discs will fly more overstable in Santa Fe.

This course features multiple turf tee pads for each hole and multiple pin locations for turquoise Gateway Titan 24 baskets--just a couple reasons why IAIA welcomes players of all skill levels. With all that being said, we rate this course 4.4 stars out of 5!

Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the Black Kite drone experience!
