If you're a huge bomber off the tee, you might need to know the basket position before you throw, but most of us mere mortals need to just crank a shot out that will drift long and go left to right around the branches of the tree in front. It's OK to get out into the open left, because that will give you the clearer line for your approach shot. The parking area is sometimes in range and is traditionally OB, so try to keep it on the green stuff.
