A straight shot is the most optimal play here. Any sort of fade or turn can put you in the brush.

If you can keep your disc low, hitting the left side just under the tree will leave you a clear attempt at birdie. You may want to fly the thick area on the right and over shoot the hole because coming back at the hole is easier than most shots on the front right where many people end up.

Shooting from the pro tee located behind the regular tee is not only more fun, but also less rutted. If things are too sloppy we keep to the right and make arounds on the right side instead of shooting the tunnel. If things are dry - then grip it and rip it.

I find that the path on the right side of the fairway that slightly overlaps hole #1 fairway makes for an easier second shot. If you can keep it low, the area really opens up past the first grouping of trees.

If you don't want to do the big around - try a tomahawk over the trees. Try to keep it as close to the limb tops as possible, and you should bring it down by the tree over by the pin for a good shot at bird.
