    Other info

I love disc golf. I've never really cared for any other sport, as far as participation and obsession are concerned. I began as the unfortunate "chucker," spending my rounds partying with buddies with our one or two discs each, showing very little course courtesy...but I evolved into a dedicated (albeit inconsistent, skills-wise) golfer focused on spreading the sport wherever the opportunity arises. My biggest DG achievement to date is proposing, co-designing, and installing an 18-hole course on the LTC campus in Cleveland, WI...Currently rated 3.46, ranked #39 in Wisconsin (out of 152 nine-hole-or-more courses with at least 3 reviews in the state). The small community here has been receptive to disc golf, in fact asking the co-designer of LTC and myself to put in a 9-hole course at the elementary school (DGCR course ID #3482), and I also host an annual Ace Race at LTC (2012 will be our 5th year!) which many local businesses have been supportive of. I hope to work on more course designs in the future, as I think my game has more or less plateaued while my passion has only grown stronger. Teaching my children -- or any beginners -- the game is a rewarding experience, as course courtesy begins with your instructor, and as our sport grows in popularity we will need educated players to keep the momentum moving forward.

My reviews focus heavily on variety. I don't like to play *essentially* the same shot over and over, and I love unique greens and those tee shots that make you say "wow" and throw multiple shots. I don't like excessive risk, but of course I love to see it used properly and will take that shot only when my confidence level allows.

Thanks. I try to report as a traveling player and offer some insight into the sadistic side of courses that challenge the heck out of me and make the trip worth while. I check your reviews as well and they are very precise and detailed, probably more spot on than mine. I try to add that personal touch which tends to stir the pot a bit. I see you hit bronze level too and have less negative votes than I, plus a bunch more positives. I need to review some more popoular courses to get more votes (I'll hit up the Madison 3 and Baraboo soon), and maybe stop sneaking in my comaprisons to Winter Park ;-) (on a side note, I am loving this site!)
So you beat me to Clevland school course . . . I was hoping to still get there before you!!!! I am glad to see a review of it though.

Any chance you are headed to Kenosha for the Parkside Prairie Open next weekend???
Not sure if you play rec or advanced . . . rec/int is sunday . . . advanced is saturday.
Thats awesome! thanks for the help! ill be looking into setting one up around Milwaukee next year. But looking forward to hopefully being there!
So your running the one in cleveland? thats pretty sweet. I'm gonna try to make it up for that one, but i run Cross Country at school so i have to see if it doesnt conflict with a meet. Also, how tough is it to set up one of these? If you've ever played the sussex course that may be a good course for such an event
i see there is a discraft ace race at your course LTC. I know nothing really about it. mind letting me know a bit about it? is it fun? do a lot of people sign up for it?
yeah.. I'm obviously just west of neenah but I'm a mile east of 45 so it'd take me prolly 1hr 30mins to get to wausau give or take. but then you gotta head up 55 more and blah blah lol I'll have to give it a try someday
that sounds pretty sweet! yes red arrow park was a total waste of 18 good baskets and tee pads. we went there like 2 times and it was bs.. the course went up back when I was still in hs and couldn't throw as well as I can now. I throw side-arm most of the time with a turnover dragon mid range that kicks major ass! I would love to see the cty park turned into 2 seperate 18 hole courses. Cripes theres enough room that they could possibly put 1 maybe 2 more after that in there. lots and lots of potential
    hey man

sounds like a plan. buddy and I tried the county park in oshkosh last night.. its ok.. don't have 18 full holes but it has major potential. We try and go to a new course every year and so far have been to 2 new ones.. we're thinkin on making a road trip either to madison or to milwaukee to try that brown deer course. we'll see what happens though.

    taker easy
Just got done reading your review. It's pretty true about the litter unfortunately.. even when there is a garbage at every hole (most of them) it still seems to get its share of litter. That's unfortunate for such a nice park :( Well I'm glad you liked it for the most part. Now all that's left is for me to come try LTC :p
That is wonderful you came down! No worries, I was swamped with family stuff today, too. There is really no schedule, which is unforunate. It kind of stinks to not know where you are throwing, like hole 4-6 (I can see them getting confusing)

The baskets get randomly moved by one of the park keepers. Just recently multiple ones got moved.

As I'm writing this I just keep thinking of all the blind shot holes, feeling bad for you since you aren't familiar with Tendick! Hole 11 is also a bad hole, I don't know what posessed them to do that positioning.

Did you play the full 18? or did you get lost and skip a few?
Loved the pictures of your wedding but also wanted to say that I enjoyed your quote in your signature.
Whats goin' on Jason? How's LTC? I hope to be heading up there sometime within the next two weeks. Do they still have those white tee markers? I hated playing off of those last time I was there!
