Pros: There is a lot of potential for this course, as the space is large, but it seems to be in a state of disrepair.

Cons: Hard to navigate. There's a map before hole one but it has faded so hard to tell the route of play.
Tall grass makes it hard to find discs.
Tee pads (rubber) are either worn out or nonexistent for most holes.
Some holes appear to be missing.
There are work trucks and bulldozers working around some of the holes, making it feel like a little strange.

Pros: The baskets are still all homemade, but have been upgraded to tire bottoms. The potential of the course is really is insane. Private land owned by really nice people the Krops. Hole 4 is an awesome BHRH hyzer bomb! The past few times I've played it the grass has been cut and it is easy to walk, not super long. Great mix of flicks/BH and short technical shots and few longer holes.

Cons: Homemade baskets.
No designated teepads

Pros: 8 Novelty holes, hole 8's super odd target can be seen as a Pro or a Con depending what you like in a course.
Decent flow if you don't count wasting time looking for discs.
The people in the store were very friendly and interested in disc golf.
It's the only course with in 15-20 minutes of Great Falls, VA.

Cons: No maintenance, shoulder high grass engulfed basket 2, we could not even see the basket when we were standing 4 feet from it. No real tee pads, just throw from the previous basket to next basket for a majority of the course. We spent twice as long looking for lost discs than actually playing the course.
Hole 6 had 2 large bolts in the catch basket that could damage discs.
Homemadesquare baskets are barely large enough to hold the disc. Saying these holes are easy to ace is incorrect, the distances are aceable, but odds of the basket catching the ace run are low.
I went into the store to buy something so I could break a $20 to leave a donation and all they had were warm eggs, warm soda, and local honey and jams don't expect to pick up a snack or drink unless you already have the ice.

Other Thoughts: Don't bee fooled, Darnestown is 7.1 miles away on paper, but do not plan on a 10 minute ride. This course is 40 minutes from Darnestown. It is actually quicker to get to Seneca. Mclean's beat up nine holer is the closest at 15-20 minutes.
I give Mr. Krop credit for building all those homemade baskets and thank him for sharing his course with us, but this is basically a backyard course that happens to be at a business that allows the public. It looked like a Post apocalyptic DG course and the corpses on hole 5 just added to the "last disc golf course on earth" feel.

Pros: Easy to get an ace on alot of the holes.

Cons: Hard to find the holes. Not maintained. Baskets resting on ground with the bottom of the basket an inch off the dirt. Small tee off spot on most of the holes I just teed off next to them.

Other Thoughts: The course needs help but I talked to the owner of the farm and his son built it when he came back from the military just to satisfy his new hobby. So I hate giving this course a bad review.

Pros: Definitely a fun factor here as the designer has a sense of humor. For example, the fifth tee pad is a slab in front of a headstone with a pile of plastic human bones nearby. Numbers 4 and 7 are fun little ace runs. Basket tops are a variety of interesting choices (trash can lids, Weber grill top, Xmas tree stand, etc). Map is accurate. Has one dogleg and an unusual last "basket" (see below).

Cons: Home made baskets with single chains (8 chains per basket) spit putts out easily. Bottoms were a variety of shapes and materials (e.g. a dishrack I think). Tee pads are 2x2 cement blocks so I did not use them. Very rough and the off fairway areas have lots of stickers. Some baskets are sitting on the ground. No elevation variation to speak of. Played a round in about 20 minutes and decided I didn't want to go around again. I don't think the distances on the map are accurate; for example, the 330 foot second seems much shorter than the 300 foot third.

Other Thoughts: This course is just starting out and so I imagine it will improve as the owner can put in real baskets and better tee pads (or just use natural pads). I intentionally went on a Thursday between 10 and 11 because the store was supposed to be open 10-1 but it wasn't. I did find a person who told me that the course is there and to wander around and I could play it. The map was accurate and so course navigation was easy.

Hole 1 (275 ft) has a number of posts with light bulbs hanging between them. If you throw RHBH, you either have to throw high or throw through and risk breaking light bulbs.

Hole 2 (330 ft) is straight and in the middle of a cabbage patch (or some other annoying plant that bites your ankles).

Then there is a choice of hole 3L (for long) which throws over a pond and looked interesting but also looked unpleasant (pond and undergrowth) so I opted instead for........

Hole 3 (300 ft) is straight with some trees to the left and the cabbage patch to the right. Pleasant looking but not challenging.

Hole 4 (240 ft) is an ace run down a gravel road with trees on both sides but wide enough that you should get a 2 minimum.

Hole 5 (215 ft) throws from the above-mentioned graveyard slab to a basket hidden off to the right behind some 20 foot high mounds of mulch. This portion of the course (the last four holes) play through an area where there is farm work going on so there are mounds of mulch and equipment all around.

Hole 6 (270 ft) is perfectly straight.

Hole 7 (155 ft) is another ace run that backs up against some very tangled woods. The woods actually let you "go for it" since if you are wide, you won't go more than 10 feet in and be more than 20 feet from the basket.

Hole 8 (350 ft) follows another gravel path with trees on the right and the open area with the mounds on the left. The "basket" here is a large plastic funnel-shaped thing with chains on the back end. We played that you had to pass through the chains from the front which was acually fairly easy.

I hate giving this course a low grade because the owner obviously enjoys the game and is providing at least some way to play. And it was moderately fun but not really enjoyable (if you get what I mean). It says that they plan to expand so imagine making more homemade baskets has precedence over getting real ones. If the course matures or there is an Ace Race there or something, I might go back but not otherwise.
