The Snapping Turtle course at West Two Rivers is the tighter, more technical course onsite. The course plays in a more wooded section of the park just north of the Painted Turtle course. Not a beginner friendly course but better for more experienced players.

The baskets here are the same Prodigy's with the lime green bands and cages that they have on the other course. These catch OK. One pin position per hole from what I could tell, but there is more room on this nine, so maybe there are other ones. Doubtful that they're moved very often, if ever, even if there is though

There are no tee signs here but there are brown turf mats as tees on every hole. They aren't the easiest things to spot, but they are slightly easier to see than if they were just natural pads.

This course offers tight lines that need to be hit to score well. You'll need to have a somewhat advanced game to even shoot under par here. Scrambling will be necessary on this nine.

The course is free, was clean and is in the ground year round. This would probably be one of the winter courses I'd play if I lived nearby.

The distances they had on Udisc did not match the actual distances of the holes. In fact they were nowhere even close most of the time. But since there were no signs, this was all I had to go off of.

Ending up off the fairway here in the summer months is brutal. There's a better than good chance that you'll lose some plastic. Not only that but there's all types of stinging, itchy plants you'll be rooting through while you look.

This course doesn't flow quite as well as the Painted Turtle. It's not terrible, but I'd bring a map anyway. There's a few unintuitive spots where you can get turned around.

The turf tees are starting to deteriorate. Some more than others, but in a year or two I can't imagine there being anything left of these. Plus they're not the greatest surfaces anyway.

The bugs are atrocious in the summer. I know, I know. It's the northwoods of MN in the summer. But Oh Boy are they thick here. Be sure to bring some bug spray.

As I said in my review for the Painted Turtle, this isn't a destination course by any means. It's not even really worth any extra drive for this one alone. But with there being 2 courses onsite making it 18 unique holes, I guess you could do worse than making a quick stop here. But if you have more than an hour to kill, just go to Judson or Chisholm instead.
