Pros:
-- Nice pavilion with picnic tables at parking lot.
-- Port-o-potty.
-- Two tee pads per hole with a sign at the long tee. Tee signs are fairly basic (par and distance but no map).
-- Well maintained public park.
-- Nice baskets.
-- About half of the holes have significant elevation.
-- The best hole is 2 (434 feet) which throws uphill and then downhill to a basket near a creek and the bridge across the creek. Also, 7 and 9 have baskets on the sides of hills and 7 and 8 have really thick rough/bushes about 25 feet behind the baskets, so accuracy is important.

Plenty of holes have a wall of trees on the left or right edge of the fairway (1, 5, 7) but are wide open on the other side of the fairway with the basket sitting in the open rather then being tucked into the trees.

Other Thoughts:
-- This is the longest 9-hole course I have seen. From the long tees, it plays 5,083 feet (par 33) with a 1,000-foot hole and only one hole shorter than 400 feet.
-- The openness of the course makes it feel beginner friendly, but the length does not.
-- Because of the length of the course, it's not a quick play. Even playing the short tees, you are basically walking the length of the long tees.

Good 9 holes to practice your game 2+ years drive by

This course is good for practicing your big drives and your shot shapes because it's pretty much wide open with few obstacles so although long it's a good beginner course. The hills add to the course challenges and makes it more interesting. Not a lot of rough to worry over mostly just the left side of hole 6.Probably not a busy park.

This course is good for practicing your big drives and your shot shapes because it's pretty much wide open with few obstacles so although long it's a good beginner course. Few natural obstacles which force a shot shape.
Several of the Rubber tee pads* are unevenly slanted and a bit dangerous ( I fell on pad 3 though it was wet...)and all are way too close to tee pads and I clipped one lightly.

Other Thoughts:
While not a stellar course or tons of fun the layout serves a good purpose in working on your big drive game and other throws. Nice for being able to practice without fear of loosing discs.
If you're passing through... I would skip this course.
The Peoria area has several great courses I recommend ie... Northwoods and Westwoods in Morton. Pekin has McNaughton. Bradley in Peoria.
