Pros: -- Nice custom school color (purple) Innova baskets.
-- Tee signs on all the holes.
-- Fun and well-designed for likely target audience (college students learning the game). This course likely hits high rec/low intermediate in terms of challenge.
-- Nice use of terrain, including two downhill shots.
-- Hole 5 is easily the best hole: 218 feet downhill (40 feet?). A gap off the tee requires some accuracy, and trees/limbs below add some challenge in trying to park your tee shot. My group of three (two 800-850 players and one around 950) all birdied the hole, but nobody parked his tee shot.
-- Enough trees to force you to shape some shots but not enough trees to discourage newer players.
-- Doesn't overly favor one throwing style (RHBH vs. LHBH, for example).
Cons: -- Short course. Average hole length is 209 feet and longest hole is 262. Two of the five holes longer than 200 feet throw downhill, so anyone with even a decent arm might throw putter off of every tee pad.
-- Natural tee pads. They aren't the most level, but with the short holes, it's not a huge issue.
-- Very long walk uphill from 8 to 9.
-- No restroom or water.
-- No benches.
-- No map at course.
Other Thoughts: -- Parking seems limited; we parked right by #1 tee in spots marked Resident parking, but we played a few days before Christmas, so almost no one was on campus.
-- Nos. 1-4 are near the campus buildings and tennis courts. After 4, you cross the road to get to 5. Holes 5-8 are in a much more secluded area. After 8, you've got a long walk back toward where you started. As you approach, No. 9 tee is left (west) of the red storage building.
-- Water (creek) borders three holes across the road, but water isn't really in play.
-- Fun is subjective, but this course delivers it for me. We only played once, but we had a four-course, 75-hole day planned, so there wasn't time. However, this was the only course we all wanted to play again that day. If I were a student or worked on campus, I'd probably play this course every day.

Fun pitch and putt

decent flow, sort of.

Very long walk between holes 8 and 9
Other Thoughts: Fun little course to play in a small park owned by the University. Not sure what the parking situation was, we parked in the tennis court parking area which is near holes 1 and 9. First few holes are on the top and are all easy pitch and putt holes with a nice tree canopy giving you full shade.
Then you have the memorable hole 5, a short hole, but it is throwing down into the valley.
Then 3 more pitch and putt holes in the bottoms.
My only problem with this course is the walk from 8 to 9. Back up the hill, it's a longer walk than any of the holes.
Hole 9 is a nice finishing hole with some rough on the left and some tree's keeping you from throwing the simple hyzer shot.
Would I play here again? Yes, I would love to play a quick round here again. It's a fun little course to make some ace runs. With the longest hole clocking in at 254, they are all ace runs to me. If you want a more challenging course, its only a few miles over to Heritage, a championship level course.

Good 9 Hole Course

Pros: Very easy to follow. Good variety of shots, including one down a steep hill. Good for beginners, holes not too long, but still provide a challenge for intermediate level players. Well taken care of and brand new.
Cons: Not many cons. Quite a few places to lose discs, with a river running next to one whole, and pretty much every hole has heavy woods on the sides. Experienced players will probably find it too easy.
Other Thoughts: This was the first course I ever played on and it was the perfect level of challenge, while not being impossible. Love this course and hope they add a back 9 at some point.
