Pros: I like the new design at Pamperin Park. Majority of holes have a technical tee shot that requires shaping the shot. Good mix of birdie holes and longer birdie/bogey. Risk/Reward is definitely in play. Great use of the elevation changes in the park. I would rate it higher if it had some longer, par 4 holes or wide open holes, but there were plenty of long/uphill/tight holes that made it very enjoyable to play. Since it was so new, I was expecting the fairways to be less defined, but they were great. Some holes had "tight lines" but they are achievable with the right shot.
Cons: The tee signs and directional signs still need to be put in, but they are working on that.
Other Thoughts: Another thought I had was this wasn't a pitch and putt and it wasn't a driver focused course. You need both. The player that is driving well still needs to putt well to score on this course. Scrambling is also a high priority because you will be off the fairway at some point.
