Usually when breweries have "course," they will have a couple of baskets strewn throughout their property with no rhyme, reason, and most importantly, tee signs. Spindletap, sitting in the northeast side of town, bucks that trend and has four nice, DD baskets plus four tee signs as well as markers on the ground creating an actual course for play. That alone saves this course from receiving the dreaded 0.0 rating. All of the holes are less than 140', any rec-level player should have no problem getting 2s on each hole (I say that after getting a 3 once time through)

The course isn't much, but it slightly fills the void that is northeast Houston that literally doesn't have courses for miles. The DGCR course map viewer now has a lone, blue basket in, what used to be, an area without any baskets.

The four holes are crammed into their space. Luckily, the brewery sits on the land of an old church building, so there is a little bit of room for the course, but it's not much.

None of the holes have any obstacles whatsoever, but you aren't playing here to have a challenging day at the course anyway. Leave your bag in your car -- one potential con is those players who bring their whole bag and get judged by the regular patrons as being a major try hard.

On a beer side, Spindletap is on of my favorite spots in Houston. Their beer is great, and their taproom is top-notch. It is nice that they have spent some money on baskets, and it's nice that there are tees. Come in with the lowest of expectations for the disc golf, but high expectations for the beer, and you will be satisfied either way.
