Pros: -Concrete tees
-Decent baskets
-Decent signage
-Very Open
-Multiple tees on 4, 5, 6 and 13
-Nice use of water features in the park
Cons: -Very few benches / trashcans
-Needs a map, layout is confusing at first
-Not much interest for more seasoned players, mostly open holes.
Other Thoughts: Waterford Park, in Urbandale, IA was a new addition late in 2019. Signage has been added in the Spring of 2020. 13 hole layout is a little strange. Tee #1 is a distance south of the parking area (just off the path as it swings back to the SW). Tee #8 is up near the playground/parking area. Otherwise, the layout follows OK. Just a smattering of trees, but a stream and a small oxbow lake come into play on several holes. #12 plays into a finger of the oxbow and would be the closest to a "signature" hole. I'm sure as this new park comes into its own, this will improve (even rumors of adding 5 more holes to make a full 18). I enjoyed my round and would play again, if in the area.
