Pros: New concrete tee pads on back 9. There are vertical posts listing the hole number, but not the distance on the back 9.

Paver tee pads on front 9 with vertical posts listing hole number and distance for all but the 3rd hole. The #3 post was gone.

Nice multi-use park that is well maintained with bathrooms and water fountains near the front and back 9.

There are 2 City of Santa Clarita scorecards at the beginning of each course. The "North" course card (for 1-9) was available in a container attached to the #1 post. The "South" course card (for 10-18) was on a container attached to the post on the #10 post. I uploaded each of these scorecards to this site.

Although the front nine is short, most of the holes are challenging. From reading the previous reviews I was hoping to get an Ace on the front nine, or at a minimum get at least 5 birdies, especially since this course has a 43 SSE. After I scored 1 over I was so disappointed I played it again, but ended up 1 over again. I'm not that good and don't have a rating, but from my experience on many other courses, this is not that easy and I'd like to watch 5 out of 10 pros go 13 under on this course for a 43 SSE. Really?! On the front 9, number one is very challenging with trees creating a tough line and if you get a little to the left, which I did, then you'll roll down a hill. The next 3 are easy, but 5 is a little downhill with tree branches preventing a shot at the basket. Number six is elevated about 15 feet and hard to lay up to without rolling away and there's trees on each side of the basket. Number seven is another short hole, but a little down hill and a canopy of tree branches prevents a direct shot at the basket. I emptied my bag on 8; it's one of the few straight and flat shots without obstacles. Number 9 has a tight line with blocking trees and a slope that caused my discs to roll away to the right.

The back 9, as others have said, has been changed and does not correspond with the map currently posted here. Since the start of the back 9 has been moved away from the dog park it's much better. One and 2 are on well maintained grass and the mature trees and distance will challenge most of us. Number 3 is a new basket in some trees on the top of the gully about halfway down on the right from what used to be a really long 6. The final 6 are a circular path at the base of some hills. Number 6 and 9 are par 4s that are longer and require a dog leg to reach.
Cons: Snakes. There's a warning sign with a picture of a snake. This shouldn't be a problem if you're conscious of it when you pick up your disc or walk through the rough.

The last 7 holes are dusty.

It's a LONG way from the finish of the North course to the start of the South. You will want to drive unless you have a lot of time and like to hike. The city's scorecards list the South course as 1-9, not 10-18, so they see these as 2 separate courses, which most reviewers state. The Con here is that you make the drive here and only get credit for bagging one course, when you feel like it should be 2.

I don't see those first 9 holes called South getting boring, as others have said. Rather they are challenging. I tip my hat to anyone who can regularly finish this at 8 under.
Other Thoughts: It's too bad the hills were not utilized on the North's 5-8. There is great potential to get nice elevation shots there. Sycamor Park in Simi Valley is very similar to Central Park in Saugus and Mike Byrne's design maximized those hills for nice elevation shots. I wonder if the City of Santa Clarita could get Mike to tweak those few holes for them. The only downside I can envision is that there's probably snakes in those hills, but hey, wouldn't you risk the snakes for some nice elevation?!

Pros: Long drives on the back nine baskets. if u need the room to practice you accuracy for your drives this is the course for my self.

The front nine baskets where fun but really short. still a whole lot of fun for my self and my kids.
Cons: BACK nine could have snakes around.
and can be hard to follow course, but i had a local walk me threw it so it made it easy for me.
Other Thoughts: I enjoyed the front nine and back nine. helped me learn how to hone my game better.
