Another Broward County Beauty!

Pros: Tradewoods, the new companion course to Tradewinds offers a more technical woodsy experience than her sister course. It goes in and out of some mostly light woods with a few more technical shots sprinkled in. The course has generally three nice sets of tees per hole and one pin placement. There are a few temp tee signs around and navigation is super easy with several next tee signs where needed. The course is pretty scenic and has a couple of decent water holes and is fun to play.
The park is very nice with several nice pavilions and bathrooms all over the place and is very highly maintained. There are plenty of other activities at this park including a butterfly habitat. There is a strong local club that takes very good care of their courses.
Cons: The course is brand new so there are a few nags. Some of the rough is very dense. Temp tee signs on some holes. The area around hole 2 was a little wet, which could be a problem during the rainy season. The water hazards will probably expand during the rainy season. A couple of holes play near an interstate.
Hole 18's basket is to the right. The basket you can see from the tee is the practice basket.
Other Thoughts: The league here in Broward County is one of the best from what I have seen. The nags will be worked out and this course will only get better with age. The possibility is here for a higher rating in the future. lower skill levels will really like this one I think. Most holes are short to mid-range from the short tees and the longer sets of tees add mostly length and a couple add more tech. Everyone in my group (Advanced, INT, Grandmaster Rec) had a fun and enjoyable round here. The course pairs well with the other course here which is more open. Pack a picnic basket and plan on a fun day of disc golf in this park!
