(2.011 Rating) A super short 18 hole course with over a dozen sub 200 foot shots.
- ACE FACTORS - Only one aspect here kept me from wanting to bail and head back to the hotel. It was the thought of smashing chains. I had 3 mirage aces during my round here and even more fairy tale ones. I would imagine that any local with a decent skill set, is amassing aces here at an insane rate. 6 tee shots are listed at 160 feet or less. The odds of an ace here is likely ten times that of a normal course.
- BASIC AMENITIES - Tees, signs and baskets are all adequate here. A vast majority of the tees are concrete and measure 3.5 feet wide by 6 feet long. Very much on the smallish side, but the distances are so short that I often found myself doing standing throws. The baskets are T3s from prodigy. An average basket at best, but they catch fine as long as one is not trying to fire it in at bullet-like speeds. The tee signs meanwhile are nice and they have all the necessary info on them. Other amenities include a few benches, park shelters and restrooms.

- SIMPLISTIC - As an MA2, I felt like I was going through the motions. I threw putter off the tee more than two thirds of the time and I don't throw that far. I ended up 14 down and was dissatisfied. Except for a couple appealing ace runs, nothing got the juices flowing for me.
- SAFETY HAZARDS - Be prepared to wait on occasion here. I had to pause my play on half of the layout for walkers and cars. One hole throws directly down a sidewalk. A couple others throw directly along a road. Parked cars have the potential to come into play. Beginners that are unwise will hit things they are not supposed to hit.
- LAYOUT GAPS - I was doing well getting around up until finishing (14). Getting to (15) will take a map, or it could lead to a ten minute wander. (16) to (17) is also spaced apart significantly. This is not a super major flaw, but it's not ideal.
- RAW BEAUTY - I scored this just shy of 50 percentile. There are some nice aspects, like the creek and a 20-foot deep valley that goes with it. There was unfortunately a lot of sporadic trash throughout the park. The creek water was the kind where catching a disease would be more likely than catching a fish. The last third of the course is also much blander than the beginning.
- HOLE VARIETY - I thought the variety was slightly below average. 90 percent of the course is cupcake. I like cupcakes, but having this many made me sick. I liked the water element, especially on holes (1) and (3). Elevation change is mild, but it is used well a few times. All par 3s. The longest hole was listed at 240 feet.

I hit Tyndall on a road trip to DWF. It was sort-of fun at times, but more of the time I found it boring. I realize that I'm not the intended target here, but there were some things this place could have done better while keeping the same audience in mind. There is no doubt that MA4s are going to enjoy this one more than I, but at the same time, MA1s will likely detest it more than I. I'll rate courses higher if they can appease a wide swath of skill levels, and I don't think this one does. Anyways, the main reason I score Tyndall a 2.0 instead of a 2.5 was due to the safety hazards, sub-par tees, sub-par beauty, sub-par variety in addition to the noted lack of mass appeal. No need to check this one out for those at the MA2 level or above. MA3s and MA4s traveling along I30 with a little extra time, I say why not. The course reminds me of Dublin Park in Huntsville Alabama, Payne Park in Sarasota Florida, Sarah Moore in Knoxville, Kaukauna Jr near Appleton Wisconsin and Spassland near Milwaukee.

-- Excellent use of land, especially for target audience.
-- Concrete tee pads. Most are dedicated concrete, but a few use existing paths. Pads are not very long.
-- Great signage with hole number, layout and obstacles marked.
-- A couple of challenging pin placements on small hillsides (some can be played as islands even though the tee signs don't state that). This adds challenge to otherwise easy, very short (under 150 feet) holes.
-- Practice basket.
-- Restrooms on site (near 4 and 16).
-- Great playground near the front 9.

-- Shares the walking path for much of the layout (so it's very cart friendly except for numerous creek crossings, but who needs a cart on a course with only a couple of holes longer than 200 feet?).
-- Safety. No. 2 has a picnic table in the flight path for a RHBH tee shot. In fact, our group hit the table (no one was there) once. Another hole (5?) plays along the walking path and has a bench about 20 feet past the basket. And another hole (10) plays between a road 15 feet left and a pavilion 25 feet right. A shanked shot could hit someone there. In addition, the walking path is in play on numerous other holes. Visibility is good, so you should be able to see if someone is coming down the path, but you might have to wait or skip some holes altogether. Also, you cross the creek numerous times, and those crossings are a little tricky.
-- No. 15 is perhaps the most boring hole ever: Just short of 200 feet, totally flat with NO obstacles (trees, water, etc.) within 75 feet of the tee or basket. It feels worse than it is because you've got a long walk from 14 to get to this hole. This plays between two ball fields.
-- Long walk (several hundred yards) from 18 back to 1.

-- This course is clearly intended for young players (or old guys like me with almost no power), so the number rating is difficult. It was a BLAST to play, but anyone with even a modicum of distance off the tee is likely to be bored here. Low intermediate players are going to shoot under par (perhaps double digits) even with a few penalty strokes that are almost impossible to avoid.
-- Construction of a skate park was impinging on Hole 18, but I think this is a temporary situation. One of the ramps waiting to be installed was in the fairway.

Nice baskets. Good elevation used. Water hazard used well. Several restrooms on site. good signage and fairly easy to navigate. Lots of other things to do in the park if you bring your family.

Tee pads are too short. Multi use. Need to be very aware of others as the course plays near walking paths. A couple of long walk between holes ie 14 to 15 and after 18

My brother and I played together and we both loved the course. It's a very short course so it appealed to our old arms lol. Some might not like that. Course throws back and forth over a kind of walled in creek which did not have enough water to lose a disc. Course is easy to score on but has a lot of ob/ penalty areas. 2 holes are surrounded by paths on all sides so we played them as island holes although that wasn't indicated on the signs. Previous reviewers seemed very worried about other users but although the park had a lot of people in it we did not have any issues. We had to wait for someone to walk by a few times but that was it. Hole number 2 has a picnic table right in the way but that was the only hole with a big issue. Bottom line I play DG for fun and this course was a blast. I would 100% play there again

VERY DANGEROUS COURSE

Seriously, this course is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Not only are you teeing off from the walking paths on a few of the holes, but some of the holes throw DOWN the paths with at least one of the baskets right next to the basket. I mean you could probably touch the basket from the walking path without touching the grass it's so close.

On the other hand, if your the only person in the park, it's a fun little course to play.

The course/park is in a valley of a creek across from the high school. Mostly very short holes throwing back and forth across the creek and around obstacles.

I think I only pulled a driver out on one or two of the back holes that actually had a little distance on them.

I would not attempt to play this course if there is anything going on around the park. The day I played it had been raining and my wife and I were the only ones in the park. She actually played the full course with me and almost hit her first ace on one of the shorter holes.

Would I play here again? No, I got birdies on almost every hole, it's not much of a challenge. It's basically all upshots except 2 or 3 of the holes. A few blocks away is Traxx which is a killer challenging course I played right before I played this one. Bring the family out to play this one, or introduce someone to disc golf on this course. Or if your like me, bag it and be done with it.

* Shares the walking path for much of the layout - very cart friendly, but you won't need many discs here and could reasonably play with a putter and midrange (adults)

* Great playground for the kids in the park near the front 9.

* Some fairways go right down the walking path in the park. WATCH OUT FOR NON-GOLFERS!
* Pin for #2 is right near a picnic table. If someone is using the table, skip the hole.
* One hole (#6?) has it's basket behind handrails for a handicapped accessible ramp. Climb over or go around.
* #10 is between a road (Border St.) and a pavillion. Too far to the right and you might wind-up on the pavillion roof.
* If it has rained recently, some holes on the back 9 may be soggy. Also the creek may be up.
* The walk from 18 pin back to parking area is a bit (about 200 yards / 180 m)

This little course is quite nice and brand new as of this writing (Jan 2020). I hope everything stays in good repair.

It is in a pretty busy park and if it is crowded, you'd be better off playing elsewhere. Lots of folks use the park for walking and you will have to yield at some point.

I found the course to be fun if not overly challenging. Lots of ace runs on offer. I especially enjoyed bringing my daughter (8 yrs old) and she enjoyed being able to play the shorter holes and the after round playground session!
