Great Beginner Course in a Beautiful Setting 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 25, 2021 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great variety of technical shots
A few trickier holes despite the short range
Hole 9 by the water is gorgeous
Nice park and woods environment
High visibility new baskets

Cons:

Poison Ivy on both sides of Hole 1 fairway - I live 5 minutes from this course and have played it at least 20 times. To be fair, that is the only Poison Ivy I have found anywhere at that park.

Tee boxes are awful. The Lumber enclosure makes for a tripping hazard on both the back and front of the box. Packed gravel doesn't seem to be holding up well and is rutted. This is really the only thing holding me back from a 4 rating.

Could use some longer holes for anyone beyond beginner skill level.

Nice but short 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 9, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Pretty setting
Nice layout
Great new baskets

Cons:

6-7 holes are very short. No able to work on drives. Difficult to navigate first time. If I had not brought directions from another post I never could have found my way. Tee boxes are too small and create tripping hazard.

Other Thoughts:

Suggest removing tee box lumber and install upright markers.

Nice course for beginners or children out to learn due to very short holes.

Nice Little Course with Potential 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice environment
Short holes
Technical shots
Water views on hole 8
Nice baskets
Uncrowded

Cons:

No teepads
Poor signage/Trouble finding a couple holes
All short holes
A little poison ivy on the right side of fairway on hole 9 (be careful)

Other Thoughts:

Overall, this is a very reasonable short 9 hole course in eastern Massachusetts. With Teepads and better signage it would be a "very good" short hole course. The "Sharpie on a Rock" style signage is already beginning to fade. Hole 8 has the potential to be a signature hole which many short courses just don't have. I hope this course is still a work in progress because it has lots of potential.
