Cliff Park is a small pocket park on Spokane's historic south side neighborhood. The park is surrounded by all these lovely, well cared for older homes. The park is small with a woodsy upper part and lower portion which is mostly green grass.

Cliff Park in one five of these junior disc golf courses in Spokane along with the two in nearby Cheney. All seven courses have the same great signs and heavy duty Mach Series baskets. The concept of these junior courses is to place 3-4-5 baskets in different parks throughout the cities watching to see what the interest is. The parks are all similar typical city neighborhood parks with scattered mature trees and lovely maintained grounds.

The # 1 sign is beside the street with the basket 124' and set on a small hillside. # 2 is directly behind it on the upper more wooded portion of the park. It plays 106' to a basket which sits in the brush a little. Then # 3 tee is down near the street and plays slightly uphill with a little anhyser needed.

The park could hold six holes easily and nine could probably be squeezed in

As on all of these junior courses, nice signs are sometimes placed perpendicular to the actual basket direction.

No tee pads, only grass and no sign of usage anywhere.

Only three holes and short distances with little challenge.

I love these little junior courses. I only wish I had met some players or seen any evidence anyone actual using them. I'm trying to leave an old throw-a-way disc at each of them. I've crossed off my name or whoever's name was on the discs. (And yes, all people were called).

I actually really hope this experiment works and some of these "junior" courses grow up and develop into little nines. Maybe the idea will catch on and others parks departments will try it. Tim will hate letting us count these little "junior" courses on our totals.
