Fifth Of Spokane’s Junior Course Fivesome! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 23, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Ben Burr Park is a sprawling park in SE Spokane. The park's main attraction is it's children's play area. Business was booming for children playing. Meanwhile, I had the junior DGC to myself. I did leave a throw-a-way Disc in each of the three baskets. The park has a very large area of green grass. The disc golf course sits in a less maintained section but this whole park is easily big enough for 9 or even 18 holes.

Ben Burr Park - Junior DGC in one of five junior disc golf courses in Spokane along with the two in nearby Cheney. All seven courses have the same great signs and heavy duty Mach Series baskets. The parks are all similar typical city neighborhood parks with scattered mature trees and lovely maintained grounds. Ben Burr is a little more rustic and rural feeling.

The course starts right in front of the little eight car parking lot. The # 1 tee sign is right in front of you. # 1 is a straight 150' throw to the basket in the pine trees. You have to thread # 2 181' slightly downhill. # 3 is like a very, very tame "Top of the World" shot. It plays 239' down a gradual incline.

Cons:

Same cons as always. The course is too short and too easy and only has three holes. No tee pads. That's all true but for the local elementary and middle school population, this could very well be their Augusta National.

Other Thoughts:

I hope this concept catches on and goes ballistic. I think it's a great idea. Maybe someday, we could find a three hole course in every neighborhood park.
