New Reno disc golf course - grass & bombers

Pros: Ball golf course added disc golf mostly between fairways. You will most likely not lose discs here, limited shrubs, but a fair amount of trees that are spaced fairly apart and not requiring impossible shots to navigate around. A good number of par 4s and a 900 foot par 5 so great course for big arms. Well designed to make best use of spaces between ball golf holes. Brand new baskets and nice rubber tee pads. Good signage, but sometimes spacing between holes is far so grab a map. I couldnt find this course on udisc since its so new.
Cons: You do have to contend with ball golfers, so pay attention, be respectful and yell fore when required. Keep your head up as you could get beaned by a golf ball if not aware of your surroundings. I went on weekdays so it wasn't busy, but I heard you need to make reservations at busy times.
Other Thoughts: It costs $10 to play, which is entirely fair to play such an excellent course. Playing on grass rocks! I could only play the front 9 due to the back 9's closure because of mud and recent snow. I've played about 20 courses in my life and I'd rate this in my top 3. Hats off to the course designers and golf course ownership/management for making great use of the land between ball golf fairways! i hope more ball golf courses do the same. I can't wait to return.

Reno Nevada's first pay to play course

Pros: A big plus for us desert rats in northern Nevada, much of the course is played on grass...sweet, soft grass! If leaving your gaiters and hiking boots at home is not enough reason to play this course, consider that the course designers installed permanent Innova Discatcher Pro 28's,with 28 chains, these baskets simply catch discs! This course plays at just shy of 10,000 feet in length, coming in at a hefty par 67. Holes range in length from 324 ft to 900 ft, so a nice variety for all abilities. Many of the holes are between the golf course fairways with tight and low overhanging trees. Bomb your drive over the fairways or crank a low show between the trees. You may want to consider renting a cart, based on availability or walk the course for the ultimate experience. Another plus, The Shoe restaurant and bar, serving up great food and drink!
Cons: Course is only available during select times due to the normally busy public golf course and they require reservations, although if not busy sure they would allow walk-ons. Also power carts may not always be available as they are offered first to golfers. And since we share the course with golfers, your first few times out may seem a little confusing...where should I drive my cart, should I wait for them to finish the hole before i throw....Is it ok to play thru since disc golfers tend to play much faster. Use common golf etiquette and show respect for all players.
Other Thoughts: Washoe Disc Golf Course is a great addition to the burgeoning disc golf scene in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area. With the variety of holes get ready to use your entire arsenal of discs
