Pros: -Baskets OK
-A couple of blind shots from the tees
-A little elevation to work with
Cons: -Limited parking times
-No tees or signage, basically tee from the last basket
-Baskets in concrete in a tire - seem movable
-Hazards on #1 and #2 with sidewalks and road
Other Thoughts: ISU VMU DGC (alphabet soup), is located on the grounds of the Veterinary Medical College that is part of Iowa State University. Vet Med is located SE of Jack Trice stadium and this DGC plays around the western open areas of that part of campus. This 9'er was developed from an instructor's comment to add disc golf to the campus and two students ran with the idea with help from many others.
A nice story on the course is here:

The course itself includes decent Patriot baskets that have been set in concrete inside a tire. While the course seems permanent, it would seem that the baskets are movable. It took me a while to figure out a layout, and I'm not even sure I have it right. I have #1 teeing from near the main building to a basket nestled in some trees. #2 then shoots over the road. Both #1 and #2 have sidewalks in play. The rest are mostly open with a nice finish for #7 in the pine trees. A big knock on this one is the limited play time. While the course itself doesn't have restrictions, parking in the area is limited to after 5:30pm on weekdays, but open on weekends. The lot here also becomes a tailgate area for home football games (Go Cyclones). Lack of signage or tees also detracts. With no more info than the article above, I made guesses at the layout and added a map along with pics. If you're tailgating, I can see some appeal. if you want a weekend warm-up to Carrol-Marty or Stable Run, that works, too. I suppose it could also be played safari style. Adding some permanence with signage and tee pads would add greatly to the rating here. A nice little course to find out about, but not one to go out of your way for. I might play here again.
