Pros: Baskets are in pretty good condition.
The playable holes are mowed well, but this is only due to them playing next to (or over) the football and soccer practice fields.
Hole 5's basket is elevated on a rise in the corner or the soccer field, and hole 6 tees downhill down one side of the football practice field. Hole 3 is on a small downhill that makes running a putt a little risky.
Cons: I just don't know where to start with this one, but... start, I must. The holes that are playable (1, 2, 3, 5, and 6) are wide open with absolutely nothing in the way. Hole 2 plays with a parking lot on its right side the entire way, and there's some tall grass on the right side of 1, 5, and 6, but if you throw a good backhand, you'll be ok.
Zero markings of tees or directional signage anywhere. A map or udisc is a must-have. Also, walking an entire soccer field down to 4 (just to find it was unplayable) was more annoying than it should've been.
Holes 4, 7, 8, and 9. They're unplayable. Maybe in the winter they open up some, but when I was there in mid-July, the back three had a 3ft wide strip of mowing followed by the mower taking one circle around the basket. Apart from that there's thick 3ft high grass and reeds, with trees dotted all over. With the doglegs around trees that turn the "fairways" into multiple blind corners, any throw that's making a legitimate attempt to score well on the hole will almost certainly be a lost disc. Hole 4 was the worst offender. The basket has a 3ft wide strip mowed right in front of it, and a yawning, 300ft long gulf of that same chest-high grass. I didn't bother finding a tee, I knew I wasn't risking a disc to that mess. If you have the confidence to stick a disc on a 3ft deep strip of grass, my hat is off to you. From what I can tell, reviews from other sources have been citing this as an issue for the past two years, and it's unfortunate, since they have the terrain to be the best holes on the course.
If you for some reason decide to play all the way to hole 9 (God be with you), you get to walk either out and around on the sidewalk, or back up the "fairways" of 7, 8, and 9 to the parking lot.
Other Thoughts: Obviously, if there's a practice occurring on one of the fields you'll have to skip even more holes.
This one is a no-go. 44% of the holes are ignored by the school, and the ones that aren't would probably be in the same jungle if the sports fields weren't right next to them. How a school can neglect parts of their land people might use is pretty befuddling to me, but then again, I'm not the one approving the budgets. This one is so bad I'm not sure I'd recommend it for anyone but the hardest of hardcore baggers. And even then, if you value your time, give this one a hard pass.
