Pros: -- Good Innova baskets.
-- Easy navigation.
-- Lots of parking options. There is a small gravel lot (use the second or south entrance) near hole 1, but there are at least four other parking options that allow you to start and finish near your car.
-- Water is in play on three holes (1, 2, 9), but the water is small and retrieving a disc should not be difficult.
-- The land is not great for disc golf, but the designer(s) used it well. Some small elevation comes into play (7 is an up- and downhill throw, and 8 is downhill), and while trees are sparse, many holes have trees guarding baskets, making you think carefully about your approach line.
-- Restroom on site (near main parking lot).
-- Excellent distance variation. Four holes are shorter than 250 feet (two shorter than 200) and one hole is longer than 400. Advanced players (and those with big arms), might not enjoy it much, but intermediate and below should enjoy it.
-- Best holes are 2, 3 and 4. Two is 239 feet RHBH around a tree and over the small ditch/creek. A tighter LHBH route is available. On 3, you've got 184 feet to a basket guarded by trees. A parking lot is also less than 20 feet behind the basket, so OB on an overthrow is a strong possibility. Four is the second-longest hole of the course (327 feet) through a fairly tight tunnel for the first 100-150 feet.
Cons: -- Natural tee pads. Most are OK, but some are already uneven.
-- No map on site. Not a huge deal because the course plays clockwise around the park, and you can see the next tee from the previous basket.
-- There are a few safety concerns. On 5, your tee shot crosses a park road, a pavilion is just right of the tee (about 40 feet from you), and the basket is near another road and tennis courts. No. 8 throws over the edge of a parking lot, across the main road into the park and at a soccer/baseball practice field. On 9, the tee is angled away from the creek/ditch, but following that line has you throwing at a walking path (my weak arm ALMOST reached it), and brings benches into play.
-- Part of the No. 6 fairway (starting about 60 feet from the basket) appears to hold water a long time after a rain.
Other Thoughts: -- This is a multi-use park that seems to get a lot of use. That's good if you're bringing non-players who need to be amused; it's not good because non-players could be in danger or delay you.
-- Course is the result of an Eagle Scout project.
