-Enjoy the tee over the creek (#6)
Cons: -No signage, yet
-A few lines need to be cut, yet (#1 to open up, #3 and #4, #13-#17 could use opened up)
-Line cut for #15 led to #16 basket instead
Other Thoughts: The City Park hosts a new DGC on the south end of Oelwein, IA. While playable when I played, it is obvious that a few finishing touches need done on this course. The course has an excellent mix of open and technical shots with 3 of the first 4 having lines going through tightly wooded areas. #6 tees off over the creek, but could use a few branches trimmed back to make a more fair tee. #7 - #12 are open working around more sparse large trees making you work lines around them. #13 starts the section in deeper woods. For now, about an 8' wide path had been made. This could do for being opened up just a bit. The path to #15 seemed more to turn and go to the #16 basket. Defining these lines a little more will come with time. Overall, the potential is here and I think this course is on the right track. Fix the lines, add some signage and this could easily score a 4 in my book. A nice start to a potentially excellent course. I would play here again.
