Pros: -Cement tee pads
-Green tee posts with hole number and distance
-Easy flow once you find the first hole
-Very relaxed setting amongst some tall mature trees, although there is the sound of the highway at times.
-Good mix of hole lengths for a small town course. A few holes offer some different options off the tee. Good course for beginners to practice and learn on.
Cons: -A couple of tees and baskets play too close to each other. The playground and picnic shelter on hole 3 are in the danger zone for errant throws, especially on windy days.
-Tee posts are set in a horrible spot, right at the rear left corner of the tee pad. They are definitely in the way for left handed throwers.
-The baskets are old and a little beat up. They catch decently enough for being homemade.
-No course map. Hole 1 is located just east of the playground.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad course for small town South Dakota. The course could benefit from a redesign to deal with safety issues and to better utilize the land and trees. The course is located right along Highway 14, between the public golf course and James River, and makes for a nice quick round.

Pros: - Concrete tee pads and marked posts with distance
- Baskets all in nice condition
- Tee pads for next hole close to previous basket
- Layout logical and easy to follow
Cons: - Distances are very short overall
- Not many obstacles or challenges, no elevation changes
- Cuts through park and playground too close at some points
- No signage at the beginning to tell you where hole one starts
Other Thoughts: This is what would be called my "old hometown course," as this is the town I grew up in. But I moved away a long time ago, long before I knew what disc golf was. The area was much more fully "tree-ed" many years ago, but multiple 100 year floods have destroyed much of what was there. It is a nice small, short course, and the designers have done well with the updates, but it lacks overall pizzaz. It is a great practice course if you have nowhere else close to play, but certainly not a "destination course."

 I tee off from where?

Pros: There are 9 distinct baskets. These baskets are clearly marked with large hole numbers on them.
Cons: There are no marked teeboxes, and no clear place to tee off from. We just picked a spot for each hole. There is not enough of a windbreak around the course, so the wind is hella strong. Home made baskets that are built wrong so a disc can roll out the side.
Other Thoughts: Honestly with some marked teeboxes, and a 2nd rung around the bottom of the home made baskets to stop roll outs, this course would be a 2 or so. It has potential to be not terrible. In it current state there really is no good reason to play here over just putting up a temp basket in an open field and practicing from different spots to learn to throw in the wind.

Dont play here, may be gone too

Pros: -Nice park
-Baskets are decent
Cons: -No tees, signs, anything that tells you how to play this course
-Short not challenging
Other Thoughts: There isn't much to say about this course. It would be a 2 disc course with tees and a little signage. I heard that it MAY BE CLOSED due to flooding so if you go here expect nothing and at best see a few baskets in a park with a few trees.

Pros: - Very nice park area with plenty of room.
- Well kept and mowed, the trees are tall and create plenty of shade.
- Park, picnic shelter and bathrooms as well as parking are very close.
Cons: - They utilized only a very small corner of a very under utilized park area.
- Home made baskets are terrible. Discs can roll out the sides and the chains are very thick.
- No tee pads or signs.
- The area gets very muddy and swampy if it's rained recently.
Other Thoughts: The park where this course is located has great potential. The area where all nine holes are located should only have one or two short holes in it. Real baskets and tee boxes would make this course much better but if they install them I hope they redesign the entire course and start from scratch.

Pros: Beautiful location, no hazards in play (the highway and river are nearby but not even a factor with badly placed shots).
Parking is very close by. Home made baskets worked like professional level, possibly usable for full size frisbees too.
Cons: No markers for tees! No indication for the start of the course! Distance markings would be nice too. The course was very cramped with lots of similar shot styles. The park is very large and could utilize a lot more space for long drives, tomahawks, etc...
Other Thoughts: Start the course near the white shelter by the road. This is a decent way to start hole #1.
