Pros: All holes are marked
Course Map by first tee box
All tees are marked with a post with distance to basket
baskets are in good condition
Cons: Dirt tee boxes
some gopher holes hidden by the grass
Other Thoughts: This is a nice little course in a small park. Perfect for beginners learning how to play the game.

Pros: I brought a friend who'd never played to this course and we found it to be a great beginner/quick course. For a small park in a neighborhood, this course has a great use of space and a mix of wide open and low tech shots. Though there's a lack of shade the course has a few built-in benches with covers that make for good spots to stop and get some water after playing in the Texas heat. Plenty of trash cans too.
Cons: Layout can get confusing, but to combat that I took a picture of the map on my phone and we consulted it as needed. Some of the ground could use filler, lots of erosion.
Other Thoughts: I found Lamar Park to be a great for beginners or a place to get in some quick practice throws. Originally I'd gone to West Guth earlier in the day and it hadn't been maintained in quite awhile - lots of overgrowth, zero mowing or landscaping - completely unplayable. Lamar Park saved us for the day and gave us a good 45 minutes of fun.

Pros: Wide open course. A beginner can easily learn how to play and experienced patron super friendly. Play ground inside course for kids to play while adults are banging chains.
Cons: Limited to 9 holes. Tee box dirt and uneven. No restrooms. Park would benefit from restroom facilities.
Other Thoughts: Great course to take kids and teach them the game.

Pros: Wide open holes with one or two trees to make shots difficult, great for beginners, very quick to play if you only have a little time, not many people play the course
Cons: dirt tee boxes, poorly marked tee boxes and holes
Other Thoughts: course is great for beginners or if you want to play a quick round, there isn't much too it but its a quite and relaxing place to play

Pros: Great place for a beginner. The wind and few strategic trees add some difficulty. Course map with short boxes, double chained by a guy in a kilt...
Cons: Tee boxes are dirt, , not clearly marked mandos (#3 & #8). short tee boxes not easy to find with out looking at course map.
Other Thoughts: Park redesigned in 2010 to avoid some yards. Blind draw doubles every Tues 6:00 pm, sign up taken at 5:30.

Pros: It is a place to go and throw a disc at some baskets.
Cons: Plenty. This "course" is a mixed-up hodgepodge of baskets and tees. You don't know where to play from or throw to. Better to just pick a basket and do putting practice. After that, go somewhere else and play real disc golf.
Other Thoughts: I think they would have done better just to make this a regular park. Go to West Guth Park. At least it is a legitimate disc golf course. It beats a mishmash as this one is.

Pros: Very open great for beginners, not a lot of trees but challenging for any golfer to work on their game. quick 9 hole course to hit up after work.
Cons: the layout can be confusing, take a map the first time or you will be aiming at the wrong holes.
Other Thoughts: the city has done a good job cleaning the place up and keeping homeless from making it a camping spot.
