-Not much for obstacles. There are a few trees here and there but they didn't really use them too well for obstacles.

+This course is fine for a public park course. The designers used the land fairly well. This is a small park and could never produce a great course. With concrete tees, signs, and a perfect layout, they could maybe get to a 3.
+Madison has 3 small public parks with disc golf courses. They are all pretty vanilla. This one might have been the most fun due to the ace running. However, the best course in town is at Lake Herman State Park. The park does have an entry fee but the course is pretty fun. Madison is a good place for a course bagger with 4 courses in a small town.

+Best holes: the longest ones. 4 is a legit disc golf hole with a fair amount of trees and close to 300 feet.

Easy to follow from basket to tee. The course is compact with basically short unimpeded holes. Nice course for beginners or those with not a lot of time. Or even those in Madison without many other options. The course is well maintained, clean and offers no surprises.

Eastern South Dakota is windy and Madison is no exception. There is little break from the wind on this course. Holes lack variety, distance, and hazards.

Good course for beginners.
